Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker

Mount Rainier, also known as Tahoma or Tacoma, is the highest mountain in the Cascades and the state of Washington at 14,411 feet. With abundant snowfields and glaciers, it is the most heavily glaciated in the lower 48 states. Mount Baker, also known as Koma Kulshan, is Washington’s 3rd highest peak, at 10,781 ft. and the heaviest glacier cover in the Cascades after Mount Rainier. It is also one of the world’s snowiest places, having set the record for most snowfall in a season at 1,140 inches.
