Learning Outcomes

Have you ever looked out at a vast mountain range, where you can’t see where the ridgelines begin or end, and thought… that’s where I want to go?

Well, now you can! This course will enable you to achieve those dreams by teaching you the more hardcore skills needed to access those mountain tops you have always wanted to explore. The guides will cover everything you need to know, ranging from gear selection, to technical rope work such as knots, anchors, belaying a fellow skier and rappelling. You will also learn how to use an ice axe and crampons, steep skiing techniques, team/partner communication, terrain assessment and of course, avalanche hazard evaluation. Glacier travel and crevasse rescue skills are also an option, depending on the group’s aspirations.
