This guided multi-resort tour gives you the best of Patagonia’s ski resorts and all the Southern Hemisphere powder turns you’ll be craving by July. Enjoy Bariloche’s Cerro Catedral with South America’s largest lift accessed terrain. Cerro Chapelco, which offers 2,400 feet of vert. dramatically overlooking the electric turquoise Lake Lacar. Then there’s Cerro Bayo, one of Patagonia’s hidden gems. Once a small local’s hill, it now provides a boutique ski experience with plenty of secret spots to explore. In the evenings you’ll get acquainted with charming Patagonian villages where you can indulge in Argentinian malbec wine, local dishes, and nightlife.     Day number 1
    Day 1:

    Fly into Bariloche Airport and meet your guides by 5:45pm. Load up and drive down the coastline of the famous Nahuel Huapi Lake to the town of Villa Angostura and check into your hotel for the night. Enjoy appetizers and red wine during meet and greet with your group before heading to dinner at a favorite locally owned Villa Angostura restaurant.

    Day number 2
    Day 2:

    Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before heading out for your first day on the slopes at Cerro Bayo ski resort. Your guides know the secret spots to make the most of your time on this fun and scenic mountain. After skiing or boarding to your heart’s content, head back into town to do some pre-dinner exploring. Wrap up your day with another authentic Patagonian group dinner in town.

    Day number 3
    Day 3:

    Wake up and work your way through the breakfast buffet at the hotel before departing to your playground for the next 3 days, Chapelco Ski resort. Spend your day skiing and snowboarding on a variety of terrain with your guides. After the lifts close head down into San Martin De Los Andes and check into the hotel. Regroup and head into town for dinner and exploration of this charming ski village full of chocolate shops and cafes.

    Day 4:

    Repeat! Eat breakfast at the hotel and then head back to Chapelco for a full day of skiing and boarding. Let your guides know your goals for the day and they can keep the group together or split up to cater to different abilities. Enjoy the incredible views before calling it a day and heading back down to town for dinner.

    Day 5:

    Repeat! Your final day at Chapelco will be filled with fun turns and good times on now familiar terrain. From Chapelco and San Martin drive back to Bariloche where you’ll spend the next three nights. Check into the Las Marianas Hotel and then grab dinner in this bustling mountain city.

    Day 6:

    Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Your third and final resort of the trip awaits, Catedral Alta Patagonia resort. Have another group dinner after returning to the hotel and then relax and unwind or check out the thriving culture of Bariloche

    Day 7:

    Repeat! Gear up for your last day of skiing and snowboarding in Argentina. Make your final turns at Catedral before heading back into Bariloche. Get together with your group (now friends) for your goodbye dinner.

    Departure, adios Patagonia! Wake up and enjoy breakfast at the hotel before saying goodbye to your guides and group. The hotel will help arrange transportation to the Bariloche airport based on your departure time.

Cerro Bayo, Chapelco, and Cerro Catedral Ski Resorts

Cerro Bayo: Intimate, family-friendly resort with few crowds, Cerro Bayo is a rustic “boutique” resort that is far from the bustle of Bariloche / Cerro Catedral, but still offers fun terrain and the same beautiful Patagonian ambiance.

Cerro Catedral: Argentina’s most developed and modern ski resort, Catedral in Bariloche is considered the place to ski in Patagonia, with close access to tourist-friendly and entertaining city Bariloche. The weather in the Andes can change quickly. Pack an all-mountain ski or snowboard setup that can handle any sort of snow conditions, and be sure to bring along full winter clothing, goggles and gloves including a good hardshell jacket and pants and a warm insulating mid-layer – remember, it’s going to be winter in Argentina! This trip offers the perfect combo of guide-lead resort skiing and inbounds off piste (beyond the groomed runs and secret spots) exploring. Made specifically for experienced intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders looking to get more out of the resort experience and are not interested in hiking for backcountry turns.

  • How long has PowderQuest been operating guided trips?
    PowderQuest has proudly been leading trips for over 2 decades. Their Chile and Argentina guided adventures began in July 1999.
  • Is my trip departure guaranteed?
    No, as each trip requires a minimum number of guests in order to run, please wait to make travel arrangements and book flights until you have received confirmation that your departure has been confirmed.
  • Can I choose my roommate?
    Yes. If you have a roommate request, please let us know. By default, we will place two people of the same gender in a room with two beds.
  • Can I book a private room?
    Yes. Single occupancy rooms may be available at an additional cost of $995. Please contact us if you are interested and note that single rooms are subject to availability, and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
  • What skis should I bring? Can I rent?
    We suggest an “all mountain” ski capable of performing well in variable snow conditions. Skis with a waist width of 85-110mm, head to a little above head high are preferred, some guests bring a couple pairs, but this is completely optional. Bring your own skis, tuned and ready to ride as rentals are not available..
  • What type of snowboard should I bring? Can I rent?
    We suggest an “all mountain” style snowboard capable of performing well in variable snow conditions. A freeride style board capable of riding well in variable snow conditions is best. Bring your own board, tuned and ready to ride. Bring your own snowboard, tuned and ready as rentals are not available.
  • I am a beginner / intermediate / advanced level of skier / snowboarder. Will there be terrain for me?
    This trip is designed for experienced intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders.
  • Can my dietary restrictions be accommodated?
    We can accommodate most requests. Just let us know when you fill out your pre-trip questionnaire, and we will have everything taken care of upon your arrival.
  • Can I place a deposit instead of paying the full amount?
    Contact Customer Care at 1.866.386.1590 if you prefer to only pay your $600 per person deposit. Note that regardless of paying full payment or deposit at time of booking, we will consider $100 to be a non-refundable deposit in accordance with our terms and conditions. Full payment is due 90 days prior to departure.
  • What if I need to cancel or postpone my trip?
    You may cancel for any reason up to 10 days (Risk Free Window) after paying your deposit or full trip price for a full refund. This gives you peace of mind no one will take your spot as you arrange vacation time and look into flights, etc. For cancellations made by Client after the Risk Free Booking Window and up to 91 days before your guided trip, your deposit can be refunded (less a $100 fee) or become a credit know as a Lifetime Deposit. Your Lifetime Deposit does not expire and can be used for any available future guided trip with PowderQuesy in South America. You may also transfer the deposit as a gift to a friend. Within 90 days of trip departure, the following cancellation fees apply. 90 - 61 days prior to departure, 50% trip cost refund. 60 - 31 days prior to trip departure, 25% trip cost refunded. 30 or fewer days, no refund.
  • Do I need to purchase travel insurance?
    Travel insurance allows you to seek reimbursement if you are forced to cancel your trip for unforeseeable reasons, or if you need to cover medical help, emergency transport, theft and/or accidental damage while traveling. We recommend World Nomads. It is mandatory for all Clients to provide evidence of insurance for ski travel that covers personal accident, medical expenses, and air ambulance (emergency evacuation). If you are joining our Off-Piste or Backcountry trips, you need to make sure your insurance covers off-piste and backcountry skiing and snowboarding in the countries you will be visiting. For trips involving mechanized access in the backcountry (snowcats, snowmobiles, helicopters, etc.) be sure your policy covers these activities. Evidence of this insurance needs to be provided to evo and PowderQuest. In the event evidence of insurance is not provided, evo and PowderQuest reserve the right to cancel the Client’s reservation.
