Peaks, Gold Dust, and Salt Lick Trails

Rated as intermediate/difficult and part of the Ophir Mountain Trail System, Peaks Trail is a rolling, forested 8+ mile trail with diverse singletrack. The Colorado Adventure Guides’ shuttle allows you to skip some of the climbing and start from Breckenridge. Expect 8 miles total, with 951 feet of elevation gain and 1,838 feet of descent.

Located in Park County between Boreas Pass (the CAG shuttle drop point) and Como, Gold Dust Trail has a little bit of everything for the black diamond rider. Fun, fast, and at times rocky, this 8+ mile trail includes 560 feet of climbing with 2,000 feet of descent.

Part of Red Mountain Open Space, Salt Lick Trail offers a range of shorter and more accessible options for more novice to intermediate riders. This area is right out the back door from the CAG headquarters in Silverthorne.
