Unreasonably fun, across a wide range of trails. When you factor in everything the Santa Cruz Bicycles Tallboy 5 C GX AXS Complete Mountain Bike excels at, it's like five bikes in one. It's 120mm of high octane pumptrack bikepack singletrack bermslap, encased in a bombproof carbon wrapper. This Tallboy has the latest VPP® suspension design, size-specific rear ends, Glovebox™ in-frame storage, and SRAM's latest T-Type wireless drivetrain – bombproof tech in the GX trim. Seriously, you only get to ride one bike at a time, and a Tallboy is more fun always. Show up fashionably late and finish first with the biggest grin!
Lower-Link Mounted VPP® Suspension – VPP is based on the patented principle of having two short links rotating in opposite directions. This system provides huge design flexibility, allowing Santa Cruz to manipulate shock rates to the intended purpose and character of each model; from short travel endurance bikes to World Championship winning DH machines. This redesign mounts the shock lower on the bike, making for an even better ride quality.
Shock Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure | Lever Actuated Open, Medium, Firm Modes | 3-Setting Open Mode Range | Rebound

SRAM GX Eagle AXS Transmission – The next generation SRAM Eagle Transmission is a radically robust, fully integrated and interdependent wireless drivetrain. Built around the universal constant of the wheel axle itself, the Full Mount hangerless attachment creates a far stronger connection to the frame with a super tough derailleur. Shifting under load is made possible due to a combination of X-SYNC technology and cassette mapping, creating seamless shifts even during your hardest power output. The new AXS Pods are extremely ergonomic and highly customizable, so shifting gears is light and intuitive.
SRAM HS2 Rotors – When it comes to heat dissipation, and therefore power, thicker is better. SRAM's new HS2 rotors are 2.0mm thick, helping them avoid heat fade and maintain their power on long descents.
SRAM Level Bronze Stealth – The latest Level brake sits closer to your handlebar, to better complement your AXS controls. Big power and modulation are the name of the game here, with four pistons and SRAM's famous feel.
Maxxis Forekaster Tires – The new version of the Maxxis Forekaster is aimed squarely at modern short travel (100mm-130mm) trail bikes – aka the “downcountry” segment. Intended to be a Goldilocks tire, the new Forekaster rolls faster than a Minion or Dissector but provides more predictable cornering, climbing, and braking traction than the Aspen or Rekon.
RaceFace ARC Offset 30mm Rims Laced to DT Swiss 370 Hubs – All-around rad ARC rims are slightly tweaked with an new asymmetrical profile. Fully dialed to be stiffer, stronger and optimally balanced, these crazy-versatile rims come in every width imaginable to cover XC to plus bikes and everything in between. These rims are laced to tough DT Swiss hubs.
