The 10 Best Kids' Snowboards of 2023-2024

By: Landon Harmon: Data Specialist | October 10, 2023

Kids’ snowboards have evolved almost as much as kid snowboarders themselves over the past few years. Where once they were just a uniform collection of foam-cored toys, the kids' snowboards of today are engineered, advanced, and above all, varied. The best kid’s snowboards on the market run from mellow learning tools packed with features to make the first turns easier, all the way to junior pro models, offering young shredders the highest levels of tech in smaller sizes.

New This Year:

2024 is an exciting year for young snowboarding enthusiasts, with fresh offerings tailored to their dynamic needs. Notable among the latest trends is the introduction of the Dancehaul, a board that promises to redefine the kids' snowboarding experience with its innovative design and performance features. Additionally, the new Sleeper Walker and Nitro Ripper are making waves, catering to both novice and experienced young riders. With such a diverse range of options, understanding which kids’ snowboards to buy can be pivotal. These boards, each with their unique attributes, ensure that the next generation of snowboarders has access to top-tier equipment, allowing them to hone their skills and conquer the slopes with confidence.

Burton Riglet

Even if your little one isn't ready to shred the slopes solo, you can start them young wherever there's snow with the Burton Riglet Snowboard. The convenient pre-mounted Riglet Handle lets you tug junior around the yard so they can practice the basics of snowboarding with a helping hand from a partner. Think of this like the snowboard equivalent of a bike with removable training wheels. Kids can stand on the foam pad to practice without bindings, and once they're ready for bindings you can attach some to the 3D mounting pattern for a more grown-up experience.

Landon Harmon

Hey there! My name’s Landon Harmon, and I’m a Data Specialist at evo who assists our buyers for snowboards and snow accessories. I’m originally from Bellingham WA and had the privilege of growing up riding at Mt. Baker. I couldn’t get enough and taught snowboarding up there for 7 seasons, after which I moved to Seattle in 2015. I started working at evo that year in Customer Care and avoided the crowds by riding Stevens Pass on weekdays. There I gained more knowledge of the retail side of the industry and had my eyes set on the Merchandising team. I now get to work closely with what we are selling and support two amazing categories in our business. I recently moved to Portland and love getting to explore new mountains and take advantage of the longer season that Mt. Hood offers.
