Designed to be ridden shorter than the average board, its large, floaty surface area makes up for the reduction in length, along with a multi radial twin camber design that adds solid carving ability into the mix. Pop, play, and have a good ol' pow day on the Weston Hatchet Splitboard.

Multi Radial Twin Camber – A large camber section in the middle of the board is flanked by a more aggressive radius to the back, combined with flat to early rise segments to provide additional pop and float while maintaining the edge feel of true camber.

Slayer Wood Core | Bamboo / Poplar – This is our bamboo/poplar core used in most of the boards in our line. Designed to be energetic and damp.
Stitched Tips – Weston's tip spacers are stitched to the core to provide added durability.
Laminates
S Weave Carbon – Carbon is an innovative technology where carbon is weaved through the core from top sheet to base and back to create maximum pop.
Tri-Axe Glass – Multi-axis, stitched fiberglass laminate that offers a precise and responsive ride in any terrain or snow conditions.
Sidewalls
PU Sidewalls – Highly durable sidewall that also provides added dampening.
Base
Electra Sintered Base – Carbon additives distribute static friction across the base, creating a more even film of water to glide on Weston's fastest base.
Topsheet
Rugged Topsheet – Polymide is eco friendly and made from castor beans. The topsheet is durable and resistant to scratches and scuffs.
Additional Features
Karakoram UltraClips and Active Joining – Karakoram UltraClips and Tip-Locks use Active Joining to spring load the seam of your splitboard, eliminating the rattling shearing, and rolling inherent to passive slip-fit connections. Simply close the lever to lock in the most responsive ride.

Splitboarding A splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you've reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it's important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
