Blizzard Zero G 105 Skis 2022

The Blizzard Zero G 105 Skis are back. The cool carbon cats get a slight tweak this year, but the overall philosophy remains the same. They eat up vert like few other 105 waisted skis can, and rip downhill like few touring skis could dream of. As the most downhill oriented ski in a decidedly uphill oriented family, the Zero G 105's have earned a place in the hearts of adventurous freeriders everywhere. The unique combination of light, nimble, powerful, and decisive puts them in a Goldilocks zone that's oh so "just right." After all, what's the point of skinning all day if not to have as much fun as possible on the way back down?

Rocker Type

Rocker Camber RockerSki profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.

Core

Ultra-Lightweight Paulownia Woodcore

Laminates

Carbon Drive 2.0The integration of a 3D uni-directional carbon fiber frame with an ultra-lightweight paulownia woodcore construction allows Blizzard to reduce the weight in the ski while providing structure for performance. The carbon frame’s 3D geometry guarantees optimal flex and torsional rigidity. The result is a level of stability, edge grip and control unprecedented in the world of ski mountaineering.

Sidewalls

Sandwich Compound SidewallAll Blizzard skis with the exception of some junior skis are built with ABS or Phenol sidewalls for superior performance (stability, power transmission, handling) and durability.

Base

Sintered Graphite Base

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Marker Kingpin M-Werks 12 Alpine Touring Ski Bindings 2022

Love the way the "traditional" spring-loaded heel of the Kingpin skis, but looking for something a bit lighter for those long days on the skintrack? The Marker M-Werks elves have been working overtime to shave weight from virtually every part of the Kingpin to roll out the Marker Kingpin M-Werks 12 Alpine Touring Ski Bindings with just that goal in mind. From the minimalist carbon-reinforced toe to the shaved-down walk mode lever, the Kingpin M-Werks 12 drops mass everywhere to come in at 620 grams per side including brake to set a new weight standard in the "freeride tour" class.

Toe

Ultralight Dual Spring Toe PieceThe Kingpin M-Werks toe piece features a 30% share of long-fiber carbon, which allows for a design that is simultaneously lighter and stiffer than comparable gear. As a result, it requires only two springs. The visual mounting aids that let the skier quickly identify the correct position of the pins relative to the boot. “Anti ice pads” made of dynamic elastomer prevent the sensitive areas below the springs of the toe piece and on the brakes from freezing in extreme cold temperatures. This mechanism also shakes off ice when the toe piece is opened or closed.
