Front and rear wheels have unique jobs, so these have been made with differing spoke counts, profiles, and widths: the front is a bit wider and more compliant for better handling, while the stiffer rear is a bit thinner, for tracking and stability at high speed. Lightweight yet tough, these sport Industry 9 Hydra hubs and a lifetime warranty on the rims.

Front- and Rear-Specific Carbon Layup – The front wheel is 31.5mm wide, the rear has an internal width of 29.5mm.
Tuned Front and Rear System for Enduro Riding and Racing – Compliant tuned front wheel improves handling and maximizes grip and control in turns. Wider inner rim width supports wider tire profile in front, increased volume and contact patch, and rounds tire profile to enhance turning. Stiff tuned rear wheel supports peak loads and enhances stability and tracking at speed. Narrower inner rim width supports narrower tire profile in rear, improves rolling resistance, and sharpens tire edge for grip.

Every Classic mountain hub is made start to finish in their Asheville, NC machine shop. From turning and milling bar stock 7075-T6 aluminum for shells, axles and endcaps, wire EDM cutting A2 tool steel for pawls and driverings, to in-house anodization lab, every step of design, engineering, manufacturing and assembly is done on premises to exacting standards.
