From dawn patrols and far flung missions in the high alpine to everyday resort ripping, the Faction Prime 2.0 Skis deliver. Built with a Balsa / Pachaco Core and weighing in at a featherweight 1550g they're more than light enough to scamper up towering peaks, but they also have the power to rip down like a boss thanks to stability boosting TeXtreme Carbon weave laminates that soak up chatter like a sponge. If you want to go light, go for the Faction Prime 2.0 Skis.
410mm Tip Rocker / 2mm Camber / 420mm Tail Rocker
Stiff Flex – 8 (1 = Soft, 10 = Stiff)
Multi-Dimension Sidecut – Shorter radius underfoot with longer radii blended out to the tip and tail of the ski. Charges at high speeds whilst giving responsive, short turns when you need it.
Progressive Flat Tail
Lightweight Balsa / Pachaco Core
TeXtreme Carbon – Proprietary 'spread-tow' weave makes the laminate thinner and stronger than regular carbon. A full layer, strategically laid up gives excellent torsional stability across the ski without compromising weight.
Titanal Binding Plate – When you're on a day-long touring trip in the backcountry, you need to rely on your gear. Titanal reinforcement plates are laid up on top of the lightweight cores ensuring that your binding screws hold. This one-piece design fits alpine and touring bindings, adding trustworthy durability to these lightweight cores.
Full Strength Sidewall – This construction places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet. Sidewalls provide the best possible edge hold and stability when the ski is engaged in a turn as well as protecting the wood core, edges and topsheet from impacts and outside damage.
Micro Cap – A hybrid of a premium sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold and torsional stability while the ski's topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile joint that can be prone to chipping.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
